What this site is
Feng Shui Signal is a cultural and educational reference about feng shui, a traditional Chinese practice. Our job is accurate description: what the tradition teaches, where it comes from, how its schools differ, and what — if anything — modern research says about related topics.
What this site is not
- Not science. Feng shui's core concepts (qi, directional luck, element energies) are not scientifically established. Where a practice overlaps with studied phenomena, we cite the research; everywhere else, treat the content as cultural tradition.
- Not medical advice. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, or prevents any condition. Traditional associations such as the "Heavenly Doctor" direction are historical beliefs, not health guidance. For health concerns, see a qualified clinician.
- Not financial or professional advice. References to wealth areas or career directions describe traditional symbolism only. Make financial and career decisions with qualified professionals.
- Not a guarantee of anything. No arrangement of a home produces guaranteed luck, income, or wellbeing, and we will never claim otherwise.
Editorial rules we hold ourselves to
- Traditional claims are attributed to the tradition ("Eight Mansions teaches…"), never asserted as fact.
- Chinese concepts appear with their characters, pinyin, and classical sources where they exist.
- School disagreements are disclosed, not silently resolved.
- Every article carries its sources and last-updated date.
- Errors get fixed, and substantive fixes are acknowledged. Report one via the contact page.
