Corey Kong
Corey Kong is the editor of Feng Shui Signal. He has studied feng shui for more than a decade, and he is responsible for what appears on this site: which claims get published, which sources back them, and what gets corrected when a reader shows us we were wrong.
What the role means here
Most feng shui writing online carries no byline, which makes it impossible to ask who decided any of it. That is the gap this page exists to close. Every article on this site is published under a name, and that name belongs to a person who can be written to.
In practice the job is less about opinion than about discipline. Each page has to name its sources. Traditional claims have to be attributed to the tradition rather than stated as fact. Where the schools disagree, and they disagree constantly, the disagreement has to be shown instead of quietly settled. Where research exists, it has to be cited properly, and where it does not, the page has to say so. The methodology page sets out those rules in full, including how each calculator on the site is checked against independently published charts.
What he does not do
He does not offer consultations, readings, or audits, and this site does not sell them. There are no products here, no affiliate links, and no sponsored placements. The tools are free, run entirely in your browser, and send nothing anywhere.
That independence is deliberate. A reference that also sells cures has an incentive to find problems in your home. This one does not, which is why it can afford to tell you that a feature you cannot change probably does not matter, or that a rule has no evidence behind it.
Corrections
Corrections take priority over new writing, especially on transliteration, lineage attribution, and the history of specific texts. If something here is wrong, write to admin@fengshuisignal.com and point to the page and the passage. Substantive fixes change the page's updated date, and the full edit history of the site is public.
